My name is Eran Eilat and I am the founder and the CEO of SafeBuy. I have been in the car business for over 15 years starting from buying vehicles in auctions and selling them, to working for a major car company. I have an extensive experience with vehicles which includes purchasing, repairs and sales.
The idea of SafeBuy came when I found out how difficult it is to secure a vehicle inspection before purchasing it. A process that might take days. Before taking a vehicle for an inspection you need the seller to agree to take the vehicle away to a mechanic establishment since the seller may lose potential buyers. Then the buyer needs to find a mechanic that is available, most of whom will be available between 1-3 days ahead. After making the appointment, the customer needs to bring the vehicle to the mechanic’s location, leave it there for a day, sometimes for a few days and usually come back late afternoon or sometimes the next day to pick it up.
That long process discourages lots of potential buyers from inspecting the vehicle they want to buy and take a major financial risk buying a used vehicle without inspecting it.
